Zaragoza by Air

Only Ryanair flies from the UK, with flights from Stansted on most days of the week. Zaragoza Airport (00 34 976 71 23 00) is around 10km south-west. Buses run to Zaragoza city centre from just outside the terminal building fairly infrequently: roughly every two hours from 7am to 10pm (to 7pm on Saturdays, and 11am-8pm on Sundays), for a fare of €2.50 (£1.90). The most useful stop for the city centre is the final one, on the Paseo de Pamplona (1). A taxi will cost around €25 (£19).

Zaragoza by Bus

The Delicias intermodal coach station (976 31 40 14) is located next to the railway station and the Zaragoza Expo 2008 site. Agreda Automovil (976 42 22 42) operates at least 15 buses a day to/from Madrid (€11.75, 3 ¾ hours) and Barcelona (€11.10, 3 ¾ hours), Alcaniz, Belchite, Carinena, Daroca, Fraga, Lleida and Muel. Alosa (976 43 45 10) runs at least eight times to/from Huesca (€4.60, one hour) and a few times to/from Jaca (€9.60), 2 ¼ hours). Alosa also operates a Saturday and Sunday service from mid-June to early September to/from Lourdes, France (€24, 6 ½ hours), via Huesca, Jaca, Pau and Tarbes. Other services include Hife (902 119 814), destinations: Valencia, Tarragona, Autobuses Conda (976 33 33 72) destinations: Pamplona, San Sebastian-Donostia, Tudela, Samar Buil (976 43 43 04) destination: Andorra, Sanguesa, destination: Sos del Rey Catolico, Teasa (976 27 61 79) destinations: Logrono, Teruel, Valencia, Therpasa (976 22 57 23) destination: Tarazona, Viaca Viajes (976 28 31 00) Bilbao and Vitoria.

Zaragoza by Train

Zaragoza's spectacular Delicias station, with high-speed links to Madrid and Barcelona, is west of the city centre (Avenida Navarra, 33 next to the Augusta Shopping Centre). Services include Madrid (€19 to €43. ½ hours to 3 ½ hours, 14 daily), Barcelona (€20 to €34, 1 to 4 ½ hours, 12 daily), Valencia (€17, 5 ½ hours, 2 daily), Huesca (€5.40, 1 hour, 4 daily), Jaca (€11.5, 3 ½ hours, 3 daily) and Teruel (€9.15, 3 hours, 3 daily). The Zaragoza Delicias Station offers local connections by municipal buses (Lines: 51, 21, 25, 27, 42). Line 51 stops at the Station. Its route begins at the Intermodal Station and goes to Paseo Constitucion. The other lines stop at the Delicias Civic Centre, located next to the station.

Getting Around

Almost all city bus routes, go through Plaza de España , on the southern edge of El Tubo. Bus Number 51 to/from Estacion Intermodal Delicias begins/ends at Paso de la Constitucion, one block from Plaza de Aragon.
